Easy Homemade Paleo Mayonnaise


Most store-bought mayos are made with vegetable oil due to its mild indistinct flavor. Unfortunately, the luxury of the mild flavor we are all used to comes with a price. Vegetable oils undergo harsh chemical extraction processes, resulting in an altering of their chemical makeup and high levels of toxins.

Chosen Foods avocado oil, by contrast, is extracted via a cold-press, chemical-free process, leaving healthy nutrients intact. Avocado Oil’s mild, buttery flavor makes for a great dietary substitution for vegetable oil and the perfect base for Paleo mayo.

Easy Homemade Paleo Mayonnaise

  • 3/4 cup Chosen Foods 100% Pure avocado oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 pinch ground pepper


  1. Crack the egg into a deep measuring cup.
  2. Pour in the avocado oil, lemon juice, sea salt, and pinch of pepper.
  3. Blend the mixture using an immersion blender, holding it flat at the bottom for about 15 seconds before slowly raising it up. Move the blender slowly up and down 1-2 times to fully incorporate all the ingredients. Do not bring the blade above the top of the mixture or you’ll get mayo all over your kitchen and yourself!
  4. Enjoy immediately. Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes: If you don’t have an immersion blender, a blender or food processor can work but the resulting paleo mayonnaise may not have the same consistency as shown in the image shown here. Be sure to scrape down the sides well and blender/process in shift
