To become B Corp Certified, companies must pass a rigorous assessment with a B Impact score of at least 80. Chosen Foods exceeded these standards, highlighting our long-standing commitment to accountability, transparency, and mission-driven business practices.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
From day one, Chosen Foods has been dedicated to building a responsible business through our better-for-you kitchen staples that replace bad fats with good fats from 100% pure avocado oil. Here’s how we’re doing it:
- Reducing Food Waste: We use bruised or damaged avocados that would otherwise end up in waste streams to make our 100% pure avocado oil.
- Environmental Stewardship: We regularly visit our suppliers’ operations to ensure they follow sustainable practices that align with Chosen Foods’ standards, and we convert leftover matter from oil extraction into natural gas, animal feed, or fertilizer.
- Carbon Offsetting: We purchase carbon offsets for all of Chosen Foods’ scope 1 and 2 emissions and a percentage of its scope 3 emissions and track all greenhouse gases to promote a cleaner business model.
- Packaging: We follow eco-friendly purchasing practices by regularly assessing the environmental impact of our packaging from its creation to its final sale.
